About Dr Saeedvafa
I am a psychotherapist who has been providing individual, couple and family therapy for over twenty years. A bilingual therapist, serving both the English and Persian (Farsi) speaking communities, I work extensively with the American, Iranian, and Armenian communities. All of your therapy sessions will happen in the confines of a flexible, reliable, non-judgmental therapy setting.
Premarital & Couple’s Therapy
I am a certified emotionally focused couple’s therapist. I specialize in helping couples get their relationships back on track. Together we'll work to remove the confusion and gain clarity, while making a plan to rebuild your connection. Through combination of insight and basic tools, I will teach you and your partner new ways of communicating that will help you both regain your voices and feel heard again. By helping process your emotions and building a more secure attachment bond, you and your partner will move towards a more emotionally engaged, healthy, empathetic and independent relationship. This process will help reduce the arguments and fights and replace them with better communication.
I also work with individuals to better understand the challenges facing you. Whether you are struggling in your education, career, relationships, or overcoming past traumas and losses, I will help you work through your emotions and give you new techniques for self understandment and self improvement. By unlearning negative past coping skills and replacing them with more effective system, you will see a reduction of your depression and anxiety symptoms. With your new toolkit, you will better connect, communicate and understand others.
